Welcome to Poway – The City in the Country!  Poway was incorporated in 1981 and is known for it’s outstanding school system, miles of open hiking and riding trails, close proximity to downtown San Diego, the beaches, mountains and desert.   The Poway Unified School District (PUSD) is an award winning district placing in the top categories throughout California.  We are only 30 minutes from downtown San Diego, 35 minutes to wonderful coastal beaches, 40 minutes to the mountains or go the other direction and you are in the desert.  Poway homes range from attached units to multi million dollar properties – we even have a few boutique wineries.  It’s not unusual to see a Lamborghini parked next to a horse.  Our Poway Business Park is headquarters to many nationally and internationally recognized corporations, including General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., Sysco Foods, CoreLogic Credco and Geico Direct.  The Poway Business Park is also home to a major hotel chain and a number of high volume retailers, including Costco and Home Depot.  Poway has something for everyone!
